I'm not buying this. (UPDATE!)

(I'm certain whoever wrote this was SURE that the missing "t" in "extremism" would leave no doubt it was thrown by a violent Tea Partier.)

I hesitate to enter into "conspiracy theory" territory, but all I've heard for two days is how Democratic congressmen who voted for Obamacare are allegedly being threatened, having windows smashed, having coffins placed near their homes, and having brothers' outdoor gas lines viciously attacked.

You know what?  I'm not buying it.  Mostly because I'm normally a skeptic, but also because of the post-Obamacare distraction timing, the pre-packaged response of the Dems, and the constant anonymity of the assailants.

This all started when Nancy Pelosi tempted all the protesters on her way to the health care vote (giant gavel in hand).  There are videos of her smug march all over the internet, and despite not a single audible slur being spoken, the Dems still claim both racial and homosexual epithets were hurled their way.  I'm sure Nancy & Co. were pretty disappointed they had to make this story up.

Until there is video evidence or a conviction in any of these cases, I'm going to continue to assume this is all a farce.

(UPDATE: ARREST MADE!)

All of this without even mentioning the fact that Conservatives are regularly threatened with violence and death threats.  Rush Limbaugh has to live and work in fortified seclusion. Ann Coulter has to travel with a body guard, but even he wasn't willing to walk her into the University of Ottawa last weekend because of a riotous crowd.  Republican Eric Cantor actually had a bullet shot into his office today.  And, let's not forget about Sarah Palin being hung in effigy last October.

I digress.  The Democrats probably haven't masterminded this, but they are appropriating it for a variety of advantageous purposes.  They are giving their media followers something to report on read aloud about on the evening news, other than the shenanigans that are ACTUALLY in the new health care law.  They are simultaneously marginalizing the Tea Party movement, which they've been unable to do up to this point.  (They first attempted to laugh off the size of the parties, once that became undeniable they painted them as racists, they also tried saying they were "astroturfing" for Fox News, and even attempted their own failed counter groups, and they are now moving on to unproven remarks about their violence and danger).  Last, but not least, Team Obama is trying to capitalize off these "attacks":
"Unequivocally condemn bigotry and hate among your supporters, and make clear that those who embrace it have no place in your party and that you reject their support," demands a letter from MoveOn.Org to Republican leaders (whom they think can badger into admission of racism).
"Please chip in $5 or more to defend health reform," begs Organizing For America.
So, now President Barack Obama can go around the United States (apologies to Indonesia... he'll get around to it) trying to convince people that the wacko brick throwers lost, and he "the American people" won.  All the while, his media minions slander his critics, and his blogger underlings beg for change.

That God this is an election year. Because if the government is pissing me off to this degree: I can only imagine how nutty the people who care more than me are gonna get.

So at least maybe some of them can take some solace in the fact that they can voice their displeasure through a mid-term election vote.

During Pelosi's arrogant "victory lap" cameras and phone cameras were everywhere. Despite this there were no recorded incidents. The only person who "heard" the 'N' word was the reporter who wrote the story. Liberalism is a disease that must be removed.
