As a progressive and a Democrat, I apologize for PETA. Our bad.
It's redundant to write "progressive and a democrat". There are no conservative nor moderates in the liberal democrat party. Just check the Obama Healthscare bill and the stimulus package, both of which will bankrupt our country. The Dems all voted in lockstep. Hence all are liberals (who, as always, have to change the names of things when it becomes unpopular).
